On Wednesday, February 21, Change Healthcare, the clearinghouse used by CHRISTUS Health Plan, experienced a cybersecurity event. There is no identified risk to CHRISTUS Health Plan’s systems or technology. CHRISTUS Health Plan has partnered with Availity as a clearinghouse solution for providers to submit electronic claims. Providers can sign up with Availity to submit claims by clicking the link below to create an account. Additionally, as of March 13, Change Healthcare has implemented a solution via Optum Intelligent EDI. Providers may also utilize this solution. Please look for an announcement from Optum dated March 12, 2024 and reach out to Optum directly at 1-866-678-8646 with any questions that you may have. Current Network - Added Provider

If you are a current network provider and need the credentialing status of a recently added provider to an existing agreement, please send an inquiry to christus.hp.credentialing@christushealth.org.

New Agreement Status

If you have a newly signed agreement that is in credentialing and are looking for the credentialing status, please send an inquiry to christus.hp.credentialing@christushealth.org Please allow 60 days from the date of agreement signed to allow for normal processing.
