CHRISTUS Health Plan is dedicated to providing great service to our providers and our members. That's why our HIPAA-compliant web portal is available 24 hours a day. The portal supports the functions and access to information related to:
- Prior authorization submission and status inquiry
- Claim status inquiry
- Eligibility status inquiry
CHRISTUS Health Plan participating providers are encouraged to use our secure provider web portal. Here you can verify member eligibility, check the status of prior authorization requests, claims, remits and more.
All providers must register for the provider web portal prior to use. During the registration process, providers are asked to assign a Primary Representative from their office. To register for our provider web portal, click here.

New: HIPAA 5010 transaction set upgrade
On January 16, 2009, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released updated standards for electronic health care and pharmacy transactions as part of the Administrative Simplification Provision of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) HIPAA 5010 (ASC X12 5010) transaction set will help facilitate a nationwide conversion to an electronic health care environment. HIPAA 5010 is effective January 1, 2012.
Health care providers, health plans and health care clearinghouses must comply with the changes to transaction set standards.
