Your Pregnancy
At CHRISTUS Health Plan we care about the well-being of every new life. We want parents to be as prepared as possible to care for their new baby. Please notify CHRISTUS Health Plan of your pregnancy so you can be enrolled in the prenatal care management program. Simply call our Care Management Department at 1-877-428-3057 (Medicaid) or 1-800-359-5613 (CHIP). If you have trouble hearing, call TDD 1-800-735-2989.
CHRISTUS Health Plan supports pregnant women with a special program to help them stay healthy throughout their pregnancies and make sure they get the health care services they need.
If a member is already pregnant, she can expect:
- Education on nutrition, stages of pregnancy, fitness, childbirth preparation, sibling preparation and what to expect once the baby is born
- Regular medical care during and after pregnancy
- Information, if needed, on supplemental nutrition programs such as WIC, dental care, child health services and family planning
